London, 21 July – West Ham United are preparing to make an approach for Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, who was valued at around £35 million last summer.
Hermansen, 24, impressed during Leicester’s promotion-winning campaign in 2023/24, earning a spot in the EFL Championship Team of the Season. While his Premier League return in 2024/25 has so far yielded just one clean sheet from 27 appearances, the Danish shot-stopper remains highly rated for his distribution and composure under pressure.
Leicester have already held talks with veteran goalkeeper Asmir Begović as they prepare for a possible exit. Hermansen joined the Foxes from Brøndby in 2023 and quickly established himself as a fan favourite at the King Power.
With West Ham aiming to refresh their goalkeeping options, Hermansen is now emerging as a leading candidate to provide long-term security between the posts.
