Madrid, July 28 – Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a €90 million bid for Arsenal centre-back William Saliba, as the Spanish giants look to bolster their defence ahead of the new season.
The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the most complete defenders in Europe following a string of commanding performances for the Gunners. Having already made 100 appearances for the club, Saliba has become a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s backline and a fan favourite at the Emirates.
Despite Madrid’s interest, sources close to the player suggest Saliba is happy in North London and is expected to sign a new long-term contract with Arsenal. The club view him as a key figure in their push for silverware, and any departure would be strongly resisted.
