Premier League Move Beckons for Xavi Simons as Arsenal and Chelsea Monitor Situation

London, July 19, 2025 – Xavi Simons is attracting growing interest from the Premier League, with Arsenal and Chelsea both keeping a close eye on the Dutch midfielder’s situation ahead of a possible summer move.

As previously reported, both London clubs have included Simons on their shortlist as they assess creative midfield options for the upcoming campaign. The 22-year-old is understood to be keen on a move to England’s top flight and is open to leaving RB Leipzig this summer.

Despite the mounting speculation, Leipzig have yet to receive any formal approaches or offers. However, with interest expected to escalate in the coming weeks, the Bundesliga side could soon face serious decisions regarding one of their most valuable assets.

Simons joined Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal structured at €50 million plus an additional €30 million in performance-related bonuses. However, not all add-ons have been triggered, and a realistic valuation now sits in the region of €65 million plus further incentives. PSG, for their part, continue to benefit from a sell-on clause, meaning any future transfer would also see the French club receive a portion of the proceeds.

Simons impressed in Germany with his technical ability, vision, and versatility across the midfield and attacking lines. His profile has made him an attractive target for top clubs looking to invest in youth with immediate impact potential.

With Arsenal and Chelsea both in need of midfield reinforcements, a bidding war could emerge if either side moves from interest to action.
