Liverpool, July 19, 2025 — Liverpool and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached an outline agreement for the transfer of forward Hugo Ekitike to Anfield, with the deal now moving into its final stages, according to The Athletic.
While the agreement is not yet signed, both clubs are working toward completing the necessary paperwork and formalities in the next 24–48 hours. The 23-year-old French striker has already indicated his desire to join Liverpool, with personal terms not expected to pose any issues.
The structure of the deal includes a base fee plus performance-related add-ons. If all conditions are met, Eintracht Frankfurt could receive a fee that would surpass their current club-record sale of €95 million, making this potentially the most lucrative transfer in the club’s history.
Ekitike has emerged as a top attacking target for new Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, who is keen to refresh the front line following a season of transition.
With only final steps remaining, the move is expected to be completed shortly — pending medical checks and contract signings.
