Garnacho’s Future in Doubt as Premier League Rivals Circle Amid £40M Valuation

Manchester, July 22, 2025 – Alejandro Garnacho’s Manchester United future appears increasingly uncertain, with several Premier League clubs exploring a move for the Argentine winger following reports that he could be available for around £40 million.

The 21-year-old, a graduate of United’s famed academy, has reportedly been informed by new manager Ruben Amorim that offers will be considered during the current transfer window. That stance has sparked interest both at home and abroad, with Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Chelsea among the clubs said to be weighing up potential bids.

Garnacho burst onto the scene in the 2022–23 season after helping the Red Devils lift the FA Youth Cup, and has since gone on to make 144 competitive appearances for the club, scoring 26 goals. His pace, flair, and ability to change a game have made him a fan favourite at Old Trafford, as well as a regular in the Argentina national setup.

However, with Amorim reshaping his squad and Manchester United reportedly open to trimming their wage bill and squad depth to meet PSR regulations, Garnacho’s situation has become one to watch closely. While his talent is unquestioned, the club’s apparent willingness to part ways for a fee in the region of £40 million has raised eyebrows.

That valuation has alerted several top-flight clubs who see the young winger as a long-term asset. Spurs and Villa are both believed to be monitoring the situation closely, while Chelsea—who are no strangers to investing in emerging talent—are also understood to have shown interest.

Whether Garnacho ultimately departs remains to be seen, but with his market value now seemingly set and interest building, a decision on his future could come sooner rather than later. For now, the ball is in Manchester United’s court as one of their brightest academy graduates weighs up what may come next.
