Istanbul, July 28 – Fenerbahçe are finalising a deal to bring Milan Škriniar back to Istanbul on a permanent basis following his successful loan spell from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 30-year-old Slovakia international is currently training with PSG’s youth squad, having returned to the French capital this summer. However, it’s clear Škriniar is not in the club’s first-team plans, with the Ligue 1 champions actively seeking to offload him.
Škriniar, who previously captained Inter Milan to a Serie A title and built a reputation as one of Europe’s most reliable centre-backs, rediscovered some of his best form during the second half of last season at Fenerbahçe. His commanding presence and leadership at the back impressed the Turkish giants enough to push for a permanent deal.
Talks between the two clubs are progressing, with only final details left to be resolved before the transfer can be completed. Should the move go through, it would mark a significant boost for Fenerbahçe’s defensive line as they prepare for another push at domestic and European honours.
