Lewandowski Committed to Barcelona Stay Amid Saudi Interest

Seoul, July 31 – Robert Lewandowski has shut down any talk of a summer move by reaffirming his commitment to Barcelona, with the veteran striker fully focused on staying at the club and continuing to perform at the highest level of European football.

The 36-year-old forward, whose contract runs until 2026, has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with interest reportedly coming from Saudi Arabia. However, according to Sport, Lewandowski has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Catalonia and is determined to honour his deal at the Camp Nou.

Despite lucrative enquiries from the Middle East — made through his long-time agent Pini Zahavi — Lewandowski quickly dismissed any idea of a transfer. The Polish striker is said to be fully committed to Barcelona’s project under new manager Hansi Flick, and is eager to play a key role in the German’s system.

Lewandowski enjoyed a stellar 2024–25 campaign, scoring 42 goals and contributing three assists as Barça swept the domestic treble, lifting La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España. His performances silenced any doubts about his age, and his desire to remain at the top level is only growing stronger.

As pre-season begins, the former Bayern Munich star has already started individual training to ensure he remains sharp ahead of the new campaign. With Flick now at the helm, Lewandowski is reportedly relishing the challenge of adapting to the new tactical demands and intends to fight for his place in the starting XI.

Barça fans can rest easy — their No.9 isn’t going anywhere.
