Bryan Zaragoza Set for Celta Vigo Loan as Bayern Exit Looms

Munich, July 29 – Bryan Zaragoza’s Bundesliga stint appears to be nearing its end, with reports in Germany claiming the Spanish winger is set to join Celta Vigo on loan with an obligation to buy, should certain conditions be met.

The 23-year-old signed for Bayern Munich from Granada in January 2024, but struggled to make an impact, featuring for just 184 minutes in the second half of the season — barely more than two full matches. With game time scarce and opportunities limited, Zaragoza was loaned to Osasuna last season, where he contributed one goal and six assists across 27 La Liga appearances.

While the talent is clearly there, Zaragoza’s move to Bavaria never truly clicked. Language barriers and cultural isolation were reportedly major hurdles, with no fellow Spanish speakers in the Bayern dressing room. The departure of Thomas Tuchel, the manager who brought him to the club, only further unsettled the youngster’s place in Munich.

Now, with Bayern closing in on the signing of Luis Díaz, competition for wide positions is set to intensify — leaving Zaragoza further down the pecking order. In a crucial year with the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on the horizon, regular football is a necessity if he is to reignite his international ambitions.

A return to Spain, and to a club where he can find both rhythm and familiarity, may be just what Zaragoza needs to get his promising career back on track. For Celta Vigo, it could prove a shrewd bit of business — especially if the winger can rediscover the form that made him one of La Liga’s rising stars at Granada.
