Riyadh, July 29 – Aleksandar Mitrovic could be heading back to the Premier League, with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United all reportedly weighing up a summer move for the prolific Serbian striker.
Mitrovic, who left Fulham in 2023 to join Saudi giants Al-Hilal, has rediscovered his best form in the Middle East. The 30-year-old has smashed home an astonishing 68 goals in just 79 appearances across all competitions, reigniting interest from several top European sides.
According to a report from CaughtOffside, the three Premier League clubs are seriously considering a move for the former Fulham and Newcastle forward. Al-Hilal are believed to value Mitrovic at around €30 million (£26 million), a fee that is unlikely to deter any of the suitors given his proven track record in English football.
Manchester United are known to be in the market for an experienced striker to complement their youthful frontline, while Tottenham are looking for a reliable goal-getter to support or compete with Richarlison. Newcastle, meanwhile, are exploring options up front amid speculation surrounding Alexander Isak’s future, and a return for Mitrovic — who spent three years at St James’ Park — has emerged as a potential solution.
Mitrovic netted 113 goals during his time in English football across the two top divisions, including a record-breaking 43-goal campaign in the Championship for Fulham in 2021–22. With his physicality, aerial threat, and eye for goal, he remains a handful for defenders and would offer immediate impact at whichever club lands his signature.
With the transfer window heating up and all three clubs eager to bolster their attacking options, Mitrovic could soon be preparing for a high-profile return to the Premier League.
