London, July 26 – Fulham have made a formal move to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea, stepping up their efforts to reinforce their midfield options ahead of the new Premier League season.
The 25-year-old only joined Chelsea from Leicester City last summer in a deal worth around £30 million, but could now be on the move again if the west London club receive a suitable offer.
While Chelsea are not actively looking to part ways with Dewsbury-Hall, sources suggest they are open to doing business should a bid exceed the fee they originally paid. The midfielder is viewed as a useful squad player at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues are believed to be willing to consider his departure in the right circumstances.
Fulham’s approach follows an earlier enquiry from West Ham United earlier in the transfer window, indicating growing Premier League interest in the former Leicester man. However, it remains to be seen whether either club will meet Chelsea’s valuation.
Dewsbury-Hall, who came through the Leicester academy, was a standout performer in the Championship during the 2023/24 campaign before earning his big-money move to Chelsea. Despite limited opportunities in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, he remains highly rated and could offer Fulham or West Ham a dynamic presence in the middle of the park.
Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to trim their squad and explore options as part of their wider recruitment strategy under head coach Enzo Maresca, who worked closely with Dewsbury-Hall at Leicester.
As things stand, Fulham’s bid is being assessed, with negotiations likely to develop in the coming days.
