Al Ittihad has officially opened talks with AC Milan over a potential move for midfielder Ismael Bennacer, as the Saudi club looks to strengthen its midfield this summer.
Sources close to the negotiations confirm that Bennacer is among the top targets for the Jeddah-based club, which is eager to add experience and quality in the center of the park. Discussions are still in early stages, with no fee agreed yet.
In addition to Bennacer, Wendel of Zenit St. Petersburg remains a strong option on Al Ittihad’s shortlist. The Brazilian has been monitored by the club for weeks as part of a broader strategy to upgrade their midfield unit ahead of the new Saudi Pro League season.
Al Ittihad are expected to push forward with one of the two in the coming days as talks continue.
