London, July 18, 2025 — Tottenham Hotspur have expressed strong interest in signing Illia Zabarnyi from Bournemouth and are prepared to meet the Premier League club’s €70 million valuation, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio (@DiMarzio).
The 21-year-old Ukrainian defender has impressed since joining Bournemouth, becoming one of the most highly rated young centre-backs in the league. Spurs see Zabarnyi as a key target to strengthen their defensive line for the upcoming season and are willing to invest heavily to secure his signature.
However, a major obstacle stands in the way — Zabarnyi is currently prioritising a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The French champions are also monitoring the situation and could soon formalize their interest, with the player reportedly favoring a move to Ligue 1 over staying in the Premier League.
Tottenham remain hopeful that their readiness to meet Bournemouth’s asking price and offer a prominent role in their project could help sway the player’s decision.
